Ladies Encounter

Ladies Encounter is a non-denominational organization in Central Pennsylvania created to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the community and to encourage unity in Christ.  Women from over 200 different churches attend the Ladies Encounter events.

Ladies Encounter sponsors four events every year:  A Spring Brunch, Women of Faith trip, a Fall meeting and a Fall Prayer and Praise evening.

History of Ladies Encounter
Ladies Encounter was created out of Encounter 99, a Gospel Crusade conducted in 1999 by Steve Wingfield at the Northern Bedford High School.  The women held meetings every morning.  Because of the overwhelming desire of the women to continue having meetings after Encounter 99 ended, a committee began praying about speakers and meeting times and places.  The first meeting of the Ladies Encounter was on October 16, 1999.

Church Representatives
Several years ago, God gave the Ladies Encounter Executive Committee a great idea for reaching the ladies in our community -- Church Representatives!

The idea was that churches would have one lady from their congregation (with Pastorial approval) represent their church at two meetings a year.  At those meetings, they would receive advance information on all upcoming events, bring ideas of speakers and events and then help promote planned events in their church.  This has been very successful and Ladies Encounter has been extremely blessed by the new relationships.  You can see below pictures from one of these Church Rep Meetings.

If your church is not involved, we would love to talk to you.  Please contact Joyce at 224-5119.
